Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information CollabMe ("CollabMe", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the CollabMe mobile app and the collabme.app website (together, the "Service").
1. Information you provide
- Account & profile: name, username, email address, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), date of birth, and the profile details you add such as bio, role, skills, location, portfolio links, and resume.
- Content you create: posts, photos, videos, audio releases, stories, comments, likes, reviews, and messages you send to other users.
- Applications & requests: job applications, collaboration requests, and account-verification applications you submit.
- Business verification: if you apply to verify a company or agency account, the business website, registration/tax ID number, and business document (such as a registration certificate or license) you submit for review.
- Support communications: information you send us when you contact support.
2. Information collected automatically
- Usage data: how you interact with the Service, such as content you view, swipe, or engage with, used to operate features like the collaboration deck and activity feed.
- Device & technical data: device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic data used to keep the app stable and secure.
3. Device permissions & location
With your permission, CollabMe accesses:
- Camera and microphone — to capture photos, videos, and audio you choose to post.
- Photo library — to let you select and share existing media.
- Location — to power location-based features such as nearby-creative search and Shoot Radar. Your profile shows a city-level location, never your exact GPS coordinates, to other users.
- Notifications — to alert you about activity relevant to you (messages, likes, follows, applications, and similar).
You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. Denying a permission only disables the related feature.
4. How we use your information
- To create and operate your account and profile.
- To display your content and power feeds, search, stories, messaging, jobs, and collaboration matching.
- To send you notifications about activity relevant to you.
- To keep the Service safe — detecting fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
- To respond to your support requests and comply with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:
- With other users — CollabMe profiles and posts are public by design, so other users can see the content you post.
- With service providers who process data on our behalf (such as cloud hosting, database, and authentication providers) under agreements that require them to protect it.
- For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
6. Advertising and analytics
CollabMe shows ads to support the Service. We work with Google AdMob to serve ads and, on iOS, we ask for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before using your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) or other data for tracking-based advertising.
- If you decline tracking permission, you'll still see ads, but they won't be personalized based on your activity in other companies' apps and websites.
- Google AdMob may collect and process data (such as device identifiers and approximate location) under its own privacy policy to serve and measure ads. Learn more at Google's Partner Sites policy.
- You can reset or limit ad tracking at any time in your device's system settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads).
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
8. Your rights and choices
- Access & edit: view and update your profile information at any time in the app.
- Delete: delete individual posts, or delete your entire account from Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated content from the Service.
- Block: block any account from Settings > Blocked Users, or directly from their profile.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or export your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Children
CollabMe is not intended for anyone under 13 years of age, and you must meet the minimum age required in your country to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International users
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
